Étapes Features Donor Program Inspired by Eames’ House of Cards

French graphic design and visual culture publication Étapes featured Poulin + Morris’ donor recognition program for non-profit organization Alpha Workshops in its January–February 2015 issue. Founded in 1995, Alpha Workshops is the nation’s only non-profit organization that trains and employs HIV-positive individuals in the decorative arts—producing hand-crafted wallpaper, lighting, tables, and decorative accessories, as well as custom fabrication and finishes.

Poulin + Morris worked with Alpha Workshops to create a striking and memorable program inspired by the iconic Eames House of Cards. This pro-bono program features an intricate, interlocking donor recognition wall consisting of approximately 150 acrylic panels fitted with 6 connectible slots. The 4-foot-high by 5-foot-wide arrangement displays donor names on panels treated in various finishes, patterns, and color palettes created by the artisans at Alpha Workshops.
